Mexican Heather

Mexican Heather is a very popular, fast-growing plant. Gardeners like it because it demands very little maintenance, but provides charming purple flowers and strong green foliage. Mexican heather is also known as false heather, to distinguish it from actual heather plants.

Mexican heather does best in warm climates, although in colder environments it can be used as a house plant.

Plant Mexican heather in full sun or n a partially shaded location. It is native to tropical areas and you will get the best results if you can recreate as much of its natural environment as possible. Mexican Heathers may appear more vibrant and intense in dappled or filtered sunlight.
